Eighth-generation storage software delivers agile, scalable, automated, predictable storage operating system for cloud environments BOULDER, Colo., June 11, 2015 SolidFire, ranked the #1 Solid-State Array, today announced Version 8 of its Element Operating System. Named Oxygen, the newest version of SolidFire’s OS introduces significant data assurance functionality that reduces operational overhead and risk with advanced data protection functionality and expanded multi-tenant security features. Building upon seven previous versions, SolidFire’s Element OS continues to deliver the industry’s most comprehensive enterprise feature set for consolidating mixed-workloads onto an agile, automated infrastructure. Element OS 8 Oxygen introduces key functionality that enhances data protection and further heightens data security. Along with multiple usability enhancements, new capabilities in Oxygen include:
